Dom. Grand Veneur Châteauneuf du Pape "Les Origines" 2011

This is a bold, complex, and soulful Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape from the esteemed Grand Veneur estate. The 2011 Les Origines is a blend of approximately 50% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre, and 20% Syrah. 

On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of ripe black fruit — think kirsch and blackberry — alongside warm spice, toasty oak, and a touch of vanilla.  The palate is rich and full-bodied, with generous dark fruit flavours balanced by integrated, velvety tannins, and hints of coffee and licorice emerging on the finish. 

Drinking beautifully, the Les Origines is ideal alongside game, hearty stews, robust red meats, or mature cheeses — especially varieties with strong flavour and character.
