Bastide du Claux Côtes du Luberon "L’Orientale" GSM 2014

This soft, luscious Southern Rhône Red is a blend of 50% Syrah (from a terroir composed of gravel and clay) and 50% Grenache Noir (from vines grown at altitude with gravelly clay-limestone soil).

Aged for 30 months in demi-muids, the two varieties complement each other perfectly.  The Syrah brings depth and complexity and the Grenache Noir brings finesse and elegance.

An elegant wine with 15 years maturity, it is drinking beautifully now.  It pairs perfectly with red meats and cheese.
