Dom. Antoine Lienhardt’s "Emphase" Pinot Noir 2022

This wine is a striking Côte‑de‑Nuits‑Villages Pinot Noir drawn from old vines across six parcels in Comblanchien. Planted in soils of clay, sand and limestone, it is biodynamically farmed and vinified with minimal intervention using whole clusters and indigenous yeasts. It gets around 10 months of élevage in a mix of concrete eggs and older oak barrels.

On the nose, Emphase offers deep, complex aromas of black fruit, violets and gentle spice, complemented by subtle wood and mineral undertones.  In the mouth, it delivers powerful concentration balanced by silky, ripe tannins and vibrant acidity. The finish is persistent and refined, suggesting this Pinot Noir will reward both early drinking and further cellaring.

Try it with game, roasted poultry, or earthy mushroom dishes — or decant it for richer meat courses to bring out its layered character.
