Dom. des Chaumes Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons 2023

This is an expressive Chardonnay from the Maligny-based estate run by Romain Poullet. The wine comes from calcareous, fossil-rich soils, giving classic Chablis minerality with a delicate floral lift.

The 2022 vintage brings slightly riper stone-fruit and citrus notes on the nose, while the palate remains precise, with creamy texture balanced by refreshing acidity. The finish is clean, mineral-driven, and persistent. This wine is approachable now but also has the structure to develop gracefully over the next 3–5 years.
