Dom. La Rouge Jouvence Grignan-les-Adhémar "Caterole" Viognier 2023

Coming from the Grignan‑les‑Adhémar AOC in the southern Rhône, this single-varietal Viognier is grown on an organic estate in La Baume-de-Transit, fermented in cool temperatures (13–16 °C) with no malolactic fermentation, then aged for five months on fine lees in stainless-steel tanks, preserving its freshness and purity. 

On the nose, it exudes delicate aromas of white peach and floral notes, giving an impression of elegant ripeness yet restraint. The palate is bright and well balanced, with a lively, mineral – even flinty – tension and a softly rounded texture. The finish has good length, mineral clarity and a sun‑kissed warmth from the Drôme Provençale terroir.

Paired with seafood, shellfish or a lightly sauced fish dish, this wine offers charming drinkability now, but has enough structure to reward gentle cellaring for a few years.
